Manufacture of components for the medical and instrumentation sector

The medical sector imposes specific requirements related to patient safety, component stability and process control.

ARCOM Industrie manufactures parts and sub-assemblies for medical devices and instrumentation equipment, building in the specific constraints of this market from the industrialisation phase.

Medical-specific constraints

In the medical field, consistent production and control of manufacturing parameters are essential. Components must keep constant characteristics from one batch to the next.

Production for this market is carried out within an ISO 13485-certified quality system, adapted to the specific requirements of the medical sector. Material traceability, 3.1 inspection certificates and individual marking ensure production tracking.

Requirements for surface finishes, treatments and cleanliness levels are built in according to the final application.

Medical parts are made in particular from Ti-6Al-4V ELI titanium, 316LVM or 430F stainless steel, nickel alloys such as MP35N, and engineering plastics such as PEEK.

The choice of material depends on the functional and mechanical constraints and on the device's operating environment.

Processes adapted to the industrialization of medical devices

Some applications require specific operations such as laser micro-welding with leak testing, assembly in a dedicated cell or biocompatible alcohol washing.

When required, components are packaged for cleanroom integration.

Metrology and inspection

Coordinate measuring, roughness testing, optical inspection and traceability ensure dimensional compliance and production validation in line with industry requirements.

Assembly

Sub-assembly integration, additional operations and specific tests enable us to deliver components ready to integrate into complex industrial systems.

Laser marking and welding

Laser marking for traceability, micro-welding and specific operations suited to regulated technical environments.

Prototyping & pre-series support

Technical analysis, feasibility validation and industrialisation preparation smooth the transition from prototype to series production.

Precision machining

5-axis milling, turning, complex bar turning and EDM enable us to produce technical parts with controlled tolerances and surface finishes suited to integration constraints.

Applications

Our parts are used in particular in the following sectors:

  • Diagnostic devices
  • Technical instrumentation
  • Implantable components
  • Medical imaging
  • Biotechnology
  • Hospital equipment

Quality control of parts intended for the medical sector

Dimensional monitoring is adapted to the product's requirements and to the standards applicable to the medical market.

The inspections carried out guarantee stable production and consistent batches.
